Love is a bleeping drug

A poem I wrote, felt good to write it, since I thought I lost my inner poet. Enjoy

Love is a bleeping drug
Never knew how addictive she was 'til I tasted her
They warned me about her
But I sure had to try her for myself

Just like coke
She was good in the morning
before I lost all I had to her
And then cried myself to sleep at night

Love is a bleeping drug
She restored to health the pain in my lonely heart
But had side effects
“Did you read the fine print?” She said

Never want to get off her high
For all that I enrolled in Lovers Anonymous
Now I have to say the serenity prayer
Because I know she is a feeling I don't want to change
